Hens blank Clippers

Pat Misch combined with a pair of relievers to shut out Columbus as the Mud Hens claimed a 6-0 win at Fifth Third Field tonight.

Misch allowed just four hits in six shutout innings, while Evan Reed was charged with one hit in two scoreless innings.

Toledo had three hits and a sacrifice fly to score twice in the second, then got a triple by Argenis Diaz and a suicide squeeze bunt by Kevin Russo in the fifth.

The Hens then broke the game open with a three-run seventh that included an RBI single by Ben Guez and a two-run double by Bryan Holaday.
