UT campus ministries plan benefit concert

The Toledo Campus Ministry and Lutheran Campus Ministry will present an Interfaith Center benefit concert at 7:30 tonight in Collingwood Presbyterian Church, 2108 Collingwood Ave. Tickets are $10. Information: 419-530-4198.


The Voices of Africa Choral Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center at Bowling Green State University.

Also in the Moore Center:

Pianist and scientist Melvin Chen will present a seminar titled “Music as Seen (or Heard) Through Scientific Eyes (or Ears)” at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Choral Rehearsal Hall.

The Corrigan Family will present a children's program at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bryan Recital Hall. Tickets are $2 for adults, $1 for children and will be available at the door.

BGSU faculty composers will be featured in an 8 p.m. Wednesday recital in Bryan Recital Hall.


The Toledo Symphony will perform at 8 p.m. tomorrow in Gesu Church, 2049 Parkside Blvd. Tickets are $12. Information: 419-531-1421.


Simply Gershwin is the theme for Trinity Church's Great Music Series at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in the church, Adams and St. Clair streets. Tenor John Whitley and pianist Paul Bisaccia, New York cabaret performers, will present works from the Gershwin song book. Tickets range from $8 to $15 from 419-243-1231.


The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will salute the life of David Carter in a 2:30 p.m. Sunday program in the Great Gallery of the Toledo Museum of Art.


The Toledo Piano Teachers Association will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of St. Andrew, 3620 Heatherdowns Blvd. Barbara Steenrod will present a program titled “What Kinder Music Is and How Young Children Learn Music.”


The Perrysburg Symphony Valentine Dinner-Concert Gala will begin at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in the Franciscan Center of Lourdes College. Tickets are $50. Reservations may be made through Monday. Information: 419-824-3999.
