Echoes of Poland plans spring concert

The Echoes of Poland Folk Song and Dance Ensemble will present its 35th annual spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Ohio Theatre, 3114 Lagrange St. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $3 for children 6 to 12. Information: 419-726-0645 or 419-531-8658.

Violinist and conductor Dmitry Sitkovetsky will lead the Toledo Symphony and Bowling Green State University Choral Society in a program of music by Bach, Bruckner, and Shostakovich at 8 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday in the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle. The symphony also will perform music of Kabalevsky, Bernstein, and others in a neighborhood concert at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Richard Church, 333 Brookside Dr., Swanton. Tickets are $15. Information: 419-826-2791.

The University of Toledo Opera Workshop will present solos, ensembles, scenes, and choruses of operas by Handel, Mozart, and others at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Center for Performing Arts.

This week at BGSU:

World Percussion Night with the Kusuma Sari Gamelan and Afro-Caribbean Ensemble takes place at 8 tonight. The Bowling Green Philharmonia will present music of Prokofiev and others at 3 p.m. Sunday. These events are in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.

The Harmonia Chamber Choir will present the Brahms Requiem at 4 p.m. Sunday in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2770 West Central Ave. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Dennis Blubaugh will host a handbell music reading session from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in Collingwood Presbyterian Church, 2108 Collingwood Blvd. Information: 419-539-9100.

Violinist Thomas Wood and pianist Brian Dykstra will perform music of Schubert and Brahms at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Scheide Music Center on the College of Wooster campus, Wooster, Ohio.

Pianist Deltcho Deltchev will perform a recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Wesley United Methodist Church, 903 Center St., Bryan.

The Fostoria Lake Plains Barbershop Chorus will present its 41st annual show at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Fostoria High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Students 18 and under are $5 in advance, $6 at the door. Information: 419-927-4490.
