The Murphy's Place Orchestra, directed by Brad Sharp, will play two shows on Monday beginning at 8 p.m. This 11-piece band will be appearing on the first Monday of every month. This is its first concert of the 2004-05 season. Admission is $6.

Genoa Civic Theatre is selling season tickets for its 23rd season, which begins this month. The Dinner Party, a Neil Simon comedy, runs Sept. 10-18. Suds, the '60s musical, is scheduled Nov. 12-21, and Murder in the Magnolias will close the season May 13-21. Season tickets are $18.
