Magic afoot this weekend

The Toledo Society of Magicians is sponsoring the 31st annual Glass City Conjurors Conclave, "An Evening of Magic," with two weekend shows.

"It's a great family program," said Harold Twaddle, an event organizer. "It's just going to be good comedy and good magic. This is what we strive for."

Magicians featured in the main show tomorrow night at Bowsher High School include the surreal Sylvester the Jester and Living Illusions, an act that includes an escape artist.

"An Evening of Magic" takes place at 8 tonight in the Medical College of Ohio's Dana Center on Glendale Avenue and at 8 p.m. tomorrow in Bowsher High School, 3548 South Detroit Ave. Tickets for Friday's show are $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under; admission tomorrow is $15 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets are available at the door both nights. Information: 419-476-5359 or www.glasscitymagic.com.
