A pair of alternative-oriented bands that are far apart stylistically but both operate out of the mainstream are coming to the area in the next week.
The Love Drunks will be at Mickey Finn's Pub Monday, performing its rootsy version of punk and indie garage rock, with blues and rockabilly highlights. The four-person band is from Atlanta and its self-titled debut disc is on the Alive label.
Tickets for the show at Finn's, 602 Lagrange St., are $4 and the show is at 10 p.m.
Moth, a Cincinnati-based band, plays in the vein of more pop-oriented bands like Weezer and XTC, and it will be at Howard's Club H in Bowling Green Wednesday. The band's second disc "Immune to Gravity" is due to be the first release in late March on the new independent label Hey Domingo!
Tickets are $4 and doors open at 10 p.m. at Howard's, 210 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
