Toledo School for the Arts plans Spring Music Festival

The Toledo School for the Arts presents its Spring Music Festival featuring the school's chorus and orchestra at 7 p.m. March 30 in the Franciscan Theatre and Conference Center of Lourdes College, 6832 Convent Blvd., Sylvania. Musica Antigua de Toledo presents a concert, "Music of Court and Cathedral," at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, in Christ Presbyterian Church, 4225 West Sylvania Ave. There will be a free-will offering of $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students. Information: 419-475-8629.

The Toledo Opera presents Ruggero Leoncavallo's Pagliacci at 7:30 p.m. April 1 and 7, and at 2 p.m. April 9, in the Valentine Theatre, 400 North Superior St. The opera will be sung in Italian with projected English translations. After the performances, attendees are invited to meet the stars at an Italian party in the Valentine lobby. Tickets range from $25 to $90. Information: 419-255-7464.

The Toledo Symphony presents a family concert, "The Carnival of Animals - A Musical Menagerie," at 11 a.m. April 1 in the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle, 2445 Monroe St. Tickets range from $15 to $20 for adults, $7.50 to $10 for children.

Also in the Peristyle, the Toledo Youth Orchestra and the Toledo Symphony will present a free side-by-side concert at 4 p.m. April 2. Information: 419-246-8000 or 800-348-1253.

BGSU's Faculty Artists Series continues with pianist Ivana Cojbasic in a free program at 3 p.m. April 2 in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.

Students from the BGSU piano studio of Robert Satterlee will perform in a free concert as Music at the Manor House continues at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Manor House at Wildwood Preserve Metropark, 5100 West Central Ave. Information: 419-407-9700.

Pianist Andrew von Oeyen performs with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in a concert, "Romantic Contrast," which includes Beethoven's piano concerto No. 4 and Bruckner's Symphony No. 4, "Romantic," at 8 p.m. March 30 and 31 and at 8:30 p.m. April 1 in Orchestra Hall of the Max M.
