Performance blends Indian and Western cultures

Asha Toledo presents Ragalahari 2006, a fusion of Indian semiclassical music and Western instrumentation, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the recital hall of the University of Toledo's Center for the Performing Arts, 2801 West Bancroft St. Featured entertainers will be Rohan Krishnamurthy, Prasad Calyam, and S.V. Krishnan. Tickets, $7 for adults and $5 for students, are available at Krishna Groceries, 3303 North Holland-Sylvania Rd.; Tandoor Cuisine of India, 2247 South Reynolds Rd.; Deepam India Food and Deli Market, 7406 West Central Ave., Sylvania, and Reddy Food 'n' Spices, 6725 West Central Ave. Children age 4 and under are admitted free.
