Earth, Wind & Fire, the Chicago band that combined elements of soul, jazz, and rock with rhythm and blues in the 1970s, will take the amphitheater stage of the Toledo Zoo, 2700 Broadway, at 7:30 p.m. June 1 for the second of its Circle K Summer Concert Series. Winner of six Grammy and four American Music awards, the group has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and the Vocal Group halls of fame. A Hall of Fame Spectacular is scheduled at 7 p.m. June 6 in the Stranahan Theater. Performing will be Dion; Charlie Thomas, former lead singer of the Drifters; Shirley Alston-Reeves, original lead of the Shirelles; the Flamingos with Terry Johnson, and the Soul Stirrers with Willie Rogers, who will give a tribute to Sam Cook.
