The 2010 American Idol Live! concert originally scheduled for Sept. 2 in Huntington Center, 500 Jefferson Ave., has been rescheduled to Aug. 29.
Tickets for the previous concert will be honored on Aug. 29.
This is one of eight dates on the tour that have been rescheduled. An additional seven have been canceled altogether because of slow ticket sales. This also is shaping up to be a bad year for concert tours in general, with major acts such as Christina Aguilera and Limp Bizkit canceling entire tours and warhorses such as the Eagles and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers struggling to fill arenas.
The Idol tour, which will include Elliston, Ohio, native Crystal Bowersox, was originally scheduled to end Sept. 16 but now will wrap up in Indianapolis on Aug. 31.
A representative from the public relations firm representing event promoter Live Nation did not return a call for comment.
Tickets are $40.50, $50.50, and $70.50 from livenation.com, Ticketmaster locations, the Huntington Center ticket office, and by phone at 800-745-3000.
