Renowned jazz trombonist and a member of the great Marsalis jazz family Delfeayo Marsalis is coming to Toledo in February for a series of workshops and a concert.
Marsalis will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle. Tickets go on sale Monday at the Peristyle box office, priced at $25, $45, and $75.
He is being brought to Toledo by the Art Tatum Jazz Heritage Society and will do master classes for students at area high schools and universities on Feb. 13. He also will do a special performance on Feb. 14 for area elementary-school students.
Marsalis, 45, is a band leader, record producer, and musician. He has toured and performed with a number of top band leaders and carved out a highly successful career. His appearance here is part of a national, 36-city tour.
