Hair metalheads, mark your calendar.

A pair of late '80s-era bands, Poison and Warrant, will be at the Toledo Zoo amphitheater July 28.

Poison, led by reality TV show personality Bret Michaels, is best known for its power ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and the rockers "Unskinny Bop" and "Nothin' But a Good Time." Warrant recorded "Cherry Pie" and filmed a video for it that remains the quintessential moment in hair metal visual excess.

Tickets, $50 and $89.90, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at all Ticketmaster locations, livenation.com, by phone at 800-745-3000 or 419-385-5721, or the zoo's main box office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The box office is in the Visitor Service/Guest Information Building. Enter from the Anthony Wayne Trail side of the Toledo Zoo. Cash and most credit cards are accepted.
