DETROIT — Kid Rock might have some Motor City music-making in mind this summer.
The Michigan resident posted a message on his website Friday under the headline, "Special Announcement from Kid Rock" and a below a picture of him performing at Detroit's Comerica Park. It says that he's "looking forward to spending some time at Comerica Park this summer!!" followed by "and I'm not just talking about watchin' the Tigers play!!"
He played two shows at the Detroit Tigers' home in 2009.
Kid Rock has had one of North America's top-ranking concert tours this spring, according to data provided to trade publication Pollstar.
The 40-year-old rocker was born Robert Ritchie and grew up in Macomb County, north of Detroit.
