12 Stones will play at Headliners today. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Hard rock band 12 Stones hits Headliners today for a show that will feature music from their fourth studio album, "Beneath the Scars."
The disc peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Rock chart. Since breaking out in 2000, the band has sold more than 2 million units and its music has been featured in video games such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 and NASCAR 2011 and the movies The Scorpion King and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
Formed in a New Orleans suburb, the band with a driving, alt-metal guitar sound recorded "Anthem for the Underdog" in 2007 after Hurricane Katrina devastated their hometown. Lead singer and guitarist Paul McCoy was a featured vocalist on the Evanescence hit "Bring Me to Life," which won a Grammy for best hard rock performance.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $15. Headliners is at 4500 N. Detroit Ave.
