As expected, Crystal Bowersox is bringing her 2013 tour to Toledo with a date scheduled March 3 at the SeaGate Convention Centre.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show featuring the northwest Ohio native go on sale next Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Huntington Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, and at 1-800-745-3000. All seats are $37 and proceeds benefit the Toledo School for the Arts where Bowersox attended high school.
She is putting the finishing touches on her follow up to 2010’s “Farmer’s Daughter.” The Elliston, Ohio, native who came of age playing in Toledo bars was the 2010 American Idol runner-up. She lives in Portland, Ore., with her husband Brian Walker and son Tony.
The new disc is produced by Steve Berlin, of Los Lobos, who has worked with such artists as Sheryl Crow, John Lee Hooker, and the Replacements.
Opening act will be Monte Mar, which is also Bowersox’s backing band.
