Owens Community College on May 6 will host more than 60 of the region’s top high school musicians at a High School Honors Band Concert. The concert is to start at 7 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre on the Perrysburg Township campus. The performance is free and open to the public.
“High School Honors Band Day is designed to allow northwest Ohio’s young and aspiring musicians to come together, learn from each other, and experience the joy of music in a fun environment,” said Fred Dais, an Owens fine-and-performing-arts instructor and event coordinator.
Anthony Wayne, Eastwood, Elmwood, Emmanuel Christian School, Lake, Maumee, North Baltimore, Rossford, Southview, Springfield, and Whiteford schools are to participate.
