"The friendship and love which brought us together remains strong, and we will continue to support each other in our careers and personal lives. We are hopeful that people will be respectful of our privacy as we face this emotional and challenging time for our family."
In addition to their relationship, the two were songwriting partners, and Walker receives a co-writing credit on three of the songs on her 2013 album "All That For This." He is a singer/songwriter and actor from Chicago.
