WASHINGTON Officials say four men have been arrested in New York City in an alleged plot to detonate a bomb outside a Jewish temple.
Officials tell The Associated Press the arrests came after a long-running FBI undercover operation that began in Newburgh, N.Y.
The men were arrested Wednesday evening. Authorities say the suspects had planned to detonate a car with plastic explosives outside a temple in the Bronx neighborhood of Riverdale.
Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., who was briefed on the case, says the case shows the danger posed by so-called homegrown terrorists.
