LITTLE ROCK - "Joe the Plumber" is making a series of Arkansas appearances with Republican U.S. Senate candidate Conrad Reynolds.
Joe the Plumber, a Toledo-area man whose name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, became well-known during the 2008 presidential campaign. When candidate Barack Obama visited his Springfield Township neighborhood, Mr. Wurzelbacher questioned him about his economic policies. He later was referred to by John McCain in a presidential debate.
Since the election, Mr. Wurzelbacher has spoken at conservative rallies and guest-hosted a radio show.
Mr. Reynolds is seeking the GOP nomination to run against Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincoln. He asked supporters at a $100-a-plate luncheon yesterday to help him in the race.
