BOSTON — Fidelity Investments said Tuesday that Abigail Johnson was promoted to run all of the company's core businesses.
She will continue to report to her father, Edward C. Johnson III, chairman and chief executive of the mutual fund powerhouse.
John Bonnanzio, who edits a newsletter for Fidelity investors, said the move makes it obvious that Ms. Johnson will replace her father, 82, as chairman of Fidelity, which managed $1.58 trillion in assets at the end of June.
