STUDENTS SHOW THEIR METTLE AS 'IRON CRAFTERS'
Like the 'Iron Chef' television show in which cooks compete through their culinary creations, students in southeast Michigan pitted their skills against each other in a craft competition. Crafts 2000, a Monroe store, played host to the competition for the fourth consecutive year at its South Dixie Highway location. Students from Mason High School put the finishing touches on their creation; they are, left foreground, Meghan McGarry; right foreground, Cara Sharp; left background, Felisa Barres, and Gabby Valez. Each is a senior.
Catelyn Murphy reaches over to affix a part of the craft done by fellow students from Jefferson High, with Brandy Weines watching. Each of them is a senior.
