Kayla Strouse, a senior from Lambertville, will attend Grand Valley State University in the fall to study either nursing or social work. She has a 3.6 grade-point average and enjoys studying the United States judicial system and government.
Kayla is the recipient of the 2007 Daughters of the American Revolution award. She is a Student School Board member, Student Council representative, senior class president, and member of the Principal's Advisory Committee.
She participates in Project Outreach, Link Crew, and the lacrosse team.
An active volunteer in the community, she participates in the Students Helping Students Tutoring Program and the School Strategic Planning Committee. She has traveled on mission trips, and she volunteered at the Cherry Street Mission.
"Kayla is an energetic and involved student who truly enjoys the high school experience," teacher Robert Weaver said.
Kayla is the daughter of Kevin and Gaylene Strouse.
