HONORING THE FALLEN WITH 'TAPS,' A WREATH, A SALUTE

Snapping a salute after laying a wreath at the monument at the park is Cadet Airman 1st Class George Bellman of the Civil Air Patrol, Monroe Composite Squadron. The event was part of a national effort called Wreaths Across America, when ceremonies are held to decorate the monuments honoring those who died in our nation s wars and combat engagements.
