Deb McCain, principal of Mason Consolidated Elementary School, reads a book to students from the school s roof to settle a bet she made with them if they exceeded a monthly challenge for the accelerated reading program. She agreed to camp out overnight on top of the school if the students surpassed the reading goal. The theme of the challenge fittingly was Camp out with a good book.
Zachary Miller, 5, eats an ice-cream treat while listening to the reading.
