According to a school news release, Mr. Myers will assist in coordinating "all fund-raising activities" in support of the college's ongoing needs and priorities under the supervision of Suzanne Wetzel, vice president of administration/executive director of The Foundation at MCCC.

He also will assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the college's comprehensive external relations program, provide support for the college's legislative relations program on the local, state, and federal levels, and assist the director of marketing in the development, management, and evaluation of the college's public and community relations program, the college said.

Prior to joining Mr. Dingell's staff, he worked as a staff assistant for U.S. Sen. Carl Levin (D., Mich.) from 2003 to 2005. He received an associate's degree from MCCC prior to earning a bachelor's degree in international relations from Michigan State University.
