Ida farm festival marks holiday season

Ashylnn Zitek, 4, holds out a handful of grain for a sheep at the Matthes Evergreen Farm in Ida, Mich. The farm last weekend held its annual Christmas Tree Festival, which included pony rides, hay rides, visits with Santa, hot cocoa, and plenty of holiday merchandise for sale.
Paul Reineck and his sons, Patrick and Colin, carry their tree and several boughs back to their car after cutting it down at Matthes Evergreen Farm.
