LOS ANGELES — Ohio State junior William Buford is among the 50 players in the nation listed as early frontrunners for the John R. Wooden Award.
The list was announced by the Los Angeles Athletic Club Monday.
Buford, a Libbey graduate, is the top returning scorer for the Buckeyes, who finished 29-8 and won the Big Ten title last year. He averaged 14.4 points last season.
