OSU's top RB out 10 weeks

OSU's top RB out 10 weeks

COLUMBUS - Ohio State could begin the season without its starting running back.

Senior Jordan Hall will miss 10 weeks after undergoing surgery Friday for a cut on the bottom of his right foot, a team spokesman said. Hall suffered the injury while walking in the grass outside his Columbus residence.

“This is an unfortunate accident to a really fine young man,” OSU coach Urban Meyer said in a release. “He’s handling things well, though. He’ll be in a non-weight bearing cast for about six weeks and then he’ll rehabilitate the injury for at least four weeks after that.”

Meyer called Hall the team's top playmaker after the spring game and projects the Jeannette, Pa., native as run-catch hybrid filling a similar role as former Florida star Percy Harvin. Hall has 817 career rushing yards and 202 receiving yards.
