COLUMBUS -- Ohio State will play Texas in a home-and-home football series in 2022 and 2023, the schools announced today.
As OSU attempts to beef up its competition before the launch of a playoff system where strength of schedule will play a considerable factor, the Buckeyes will visit UT in 2022 and host the Longhorns in 2023. The schools have met three times -- a regular-season series in 2005 and 2006 and in the 2009 Fiesta Bowl -- with Texas leading the series 2-1.
A four-team playoff to decide the national champion will begin in 2014.
