Yesterday, I found it funny that my to-do list said: Call Santa.
The Dec. 17 print edition of The Blade will feature my interview with a Sylvania santa. It was a neat story to write (just finished it a few minutes ago) and it got me thinking about my own experiences with the holidays.
I asked Sylvania Santa Dave Davis whether children ever ask if he's real or not. When he told me that rarely is the magic spoiled and that he has had very few questions like that, I was honestly surprised.
Someone shared a story with me a few days ago about a child who was sitting on Santa's lap and tried to pull his beard off, just to make sure he was real. Instead, Mr. Davis revealed that most kids ask him about the reindeer.
