Katie Midgley started working at the Sylvania Branch Library again this week, after taking educational leave in 2011. As a student working on a master's degree in Library and Information Science at Dominican University, she stays busy by studying and spending time outdoors. When she's not working the reference desk, she will be leading several programs for children at the library, including storytime for children ages 2-5 on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m., starting Sept. 25.

What's your favorite Sylvania spot? Right now it's Papa G's pizza. It's so good. I strongly recommend their pizza.
What are your hobbies? Reading, biking, kayaking and studying.

Favorite food? Chicken pot pie
Where were you born? Flower Hospital
What's something unusual or unique about you? Every year I take my pug to a pug-themed Halloween party, called Pug-O-Ween. It's in Detroit.

What was your first job? Customer service/front desk clerk at a dry cleaning business
