Police unanimously pass 3-year union contract

Lake Township Police have agreed to a three-year union contract, Chief Mark Hummer said. It allows for raises of 2.5 percent in the first year, 2.5 percent in the second, and 2 percent in the third.

Officers agreed to increased employee contributions to health insurance premiums, the chief said. The contract passed unanimously. The department has 14 full-time and nine part-time officers.
