The Huntington Center will host its first hip-hop/rap concert July 8 for a four-artist show headlined by Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for the concert that also includes Plies, Lloyd, and Gorilla Zoe.
Young Jeezy rode to the top of the charts in the mid-2000s on the strength of a pair of Billboard 200 No. 1 releases: "The Recession"(2008) and "The Insipiration: Thug Motivation 102" (2006). His 2005 disc, "Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101," reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show range from $61.50 to $102. They will be on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, or the Huntington Center box office, 500 Jefferson Ave.
