A Toledo woman was charged with endangering children after she allegedly left her three children, ages 3, 4, and 5, unattended inside a running van for more than an hour while she was inside Roby's Night Club, authorities said.
Michelle Cervetto, 31, of 205 Midvale Ave., is scheduled to appear today in Toledo Municipal Court. She was arrested Tuesday after the incident about 9:45 p.m. at the club, 601 East Broadway. She was released from the Lucas County jail the same day.
Someone called police to alert them the children were left in the van parked outside the bar for more than two hours. When officers arrived, the van was gone. They found Ms. Cervetto at her home and she appeared "highly intoxicated," according to court records.
Ms. Cervetto allegedly told police she left her children unattended inside the van for more than an hour and that she had two shots of alcohol before driving home, records state.
