Reward offered for arrest of woman bank robber

A woman who claimed she had a gun stole an undisclosed amount of money yesterday from the Fifth Third Bank branch at 3450 West Central Ave., police reported.

The woman entered the bank about 3:30 p.m., approached a teller, passed a note demanding money, and threatened to use a gun. The teller complied, and the woman fled. No one in the bank saw a gun, police said.

The woman was described as black, between 18 and 24 years old, about 5 feet tall, with a medium build, wearing a maroon coat, black turban, and metal framed glasses.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the robbery suspect.
