Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about the murder Thursday of a 35-year-old Toledoan found in a vehicle near the Weiler Homes in East Toledo.
Officers responded to a report of a traffic accident about 3:30 a.m. at 820 Stillman St., where they found Willie J. McMillan, 734 Oak St., who had been shot once in the abdomen. He died that morning in St. Charles Mercy Hospital.
Investigators learned he was shot while sitting in the vehicle in a parking lot near 270 Weiler Homes; they believe the shooting was drug-related. While the suspect fled on foot into the Weiler Homes, McMillan drove a short distance before the vehicle crashed in the front yard of the home on Stillman, police said.
