Authorities need help with fake check case

Authorities are looking for a woman who has collected several thousand dollars by using bogus, computer-generated checks in northwest Ohio, including Perrysburg and Bowling Green.

The woman also has a fake ID with a Lime City Road address.

The fraudulent checking account is in the name of Ralph and Sherri Atkins and lists Wells Fargo as their financial institution.

Anyone with information about the scam, which started in October, is asked to call Perrysburg police Detective Dave Schmaltz at 419-874-8004 or Bowling Green police Detective Mike Bengela at 419-352-2571.
