The Lucas County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about a shooting into the residential part of the Airport Spa. At least 10 shots were fired, possibly from a military-style weapon, deputies said.
Two female spa employees, ages 43 and 57, were in bed about 3:30 a.m. April 11 when the shots were fired through their bedroom window at the spa, 9647 Airport, Springfield Township.
The shots went over the top of their bed, just a little more than a foot above where they were sleeping. Investigators recovered 10 shell cases from a weapon that has 7.62 mm rounds.
About an hour before the shooting, someone came to the spa but was refused service, investigators said.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Toledo Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111.
