Police seized 90 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $144,000 during a search of an apartment on Angola Road near South Holland-Sylvania Road and arrested the occupant on two felony drug counts.
Florentino Torres, 29, of 5702 Angola, Apt. 14, was charged with cultivating marijuana and possession of marijuana. He was booked into the Lucas County Jail and released on bond yesterday.
Officers from the Toledo police vice-narcotics section and the Metro Drug Task Force found the plants, which were being cultivated using an elaborate indoor hydroponic grow operation.
An additional three pounds of marijuana valued at $4,800 also were seized by officers during the search Friday.
