A 15-year-old girl was shot in the arm last night at Colburn and Congress streets in the old south end by a man with a handgun, Toledo police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to an area hospital with a non-life threatening wound.
The girl was walking from the Rite Aid Store, 1605 Broadway near South Avenue, about 6:35 p.m. when the man approached her and asked her name. When she ignored him, the man, who she does not know, fired one shot and fled, police said.
