Northwood police are investigating the suspicious death of a Toledo-area woman whose body was found in the hotel room in which she was staying.
The partially clothed body of Debra A. Stout, 49, who had no permanent address, was found on the floor inside a room at the Express Hotel, 301 Bihl Ave., about 10:20 a.m. Tuesday. She was found by a male acquaintance and 911 was called, Sgt. Trent Schroeder said yesterday.
Police are waiting for an autopsy to determine Ms. Stout s cause of death. An autopsy is scheduled for today at the Lucas County Coroner s Office.
The sergeant said there were no signs of foul play in the hotel room. Authorities are trying to determine where Ms. Stout was before her death. The acquaintance helped her check into the hotel about 5 p.m. Monday but didn t stay there with her, the sergeant said.
