Toledo woman's slaying has similarities to others

DANVILLE, Ind. - The killing of a Toledo woman whose body was found at an abandoned Indiana truck stop has similarities to a string of slayings in the Southwest, police said.

A truck driver found the body of Buffie Ray Brawley, 27, on March 23 near I-74 and Indiana 39, about 35 miles northwest of Indianapolis.

Sheriff's Lt. Clarke Fine of Hendricks County, Indiana, said Ms. Brawley's slaying was similar to the deaths of seven women in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
