Coroner rules homicide in Convoy man s death

VAN WERT, Ohio The death of an elderly Convoy man who suffered a blunt-trauma injury to his head has been ruled a homicide.

Daniel Radcliff, 82, was injured June 24 and died Sunday at St. Rita s Medical Center, Lima. Dr. William Wright, Allen County coroner, said yesterday that Mr. Radcliff died from trauma to his head.

Van Wert County Sheriff s deputies were called to the West haven Trailer Park in Convoy early June 24 on a report that a man had been shot. Medical personnel later determined Mr. Radcliff had not been shot.

No arrests have been made in the case, which remains under investigation, Sheriff Stan Owens said.
