Lima woman admits she shot her son's killer

FINDLAY - A Lima woman admitted in Hancock County Common Pleas Court Tuesday that she shot the Lima man who killed her son.

Annie M. Harris, 44, pleaded guilty to felonious assault. Prosecutors said they would dismiss a charge of attempted murder in exchange for the plea.

Harris shot John McDonald, Jr., 24, in a Findlay apartment Jan. 31, shortly after John McDonald fatally shot his half-brother, Quincy McDonald, 20. No sentencing date has been set for Harris.

In May, John McDonald was sentenced to 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter.
