Ex-YMCA employee sentenced for theft

VAN WERT, Ohio - A former YMCA employee who admitted to stealing more than $9,000 from her employer yesterday was placed on community control for five years by Van Wert County Common Pleas Judge Charles Steele.

The judge also ordered Patricia Ogelsbee, of Van Wert, to serve 30 days in jail, 60 days on electronic home monitoring, perform 500 hours of community service, and make $9,500 in restitution.

Ogelsbee pleaded guilty to a charge of theft last month after admitting that she had electronically transferred funds from the YMCA to her bank account.
