Police probe behavior of Monroeville teacher

MONROEVILLE, Ohio - Police are investigating allegations that a Monroeville High School teacher made inappropriate remarks about the appearance of several female students and kissed at least one of them.

Police Chief Mike White said yesterday his department was told late last week about the allegations by school officials, who suspended the teacher.

Chief White declined to identify the teacher, describing him only as a man in his 30s.

He said the alleged remarks to the girls were made between early this year and last week."The comments are inappropriate, sexually inappropriate, but at this point, we're not making any allegations of sexual contact or sexual conduct," the chief said.
