Fur coats and jackets were stolen from a Toledo furrier early yesterday by two men who smashed a front window of the Central Avenue store and loaded up their van with merchandise.
Police said a witness told them burglars in hooded jackets broke out a window about 4 a.m. yesterday at Toledo Furs, Inc., 2123 West Central. They pulled a white Chevy conversion van with horizontal blue stripes next to the window.
After transferring the clothing from the store to the vehicle, they fled, leaving behind a one-handed sledge hammer in front of the store, police said.
The value of the loss was unavailable last night.
