FREMONT - A Fremont man was charged yesterday with felonious assault after stabbing another man during an argument, authorities said.
Charles Crawford, 55, appeared in Fremont Municipal Court, where bond was set at $30,000. According to police, Mr. Crawford stabbed Steve Miller, 41, outside Mr. Crawford's home on Moore Street.
Police said a newspaper carrier saw Mr. Miller lying on the sidewalk at Dickenson and North streets about 2 a.m. and called 911.
Mr. Miller was treated at Fremont Memorial Hospital for multiple stab wounds, police said.
Mr. Crawford was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 29
