Three men wearing hoods and bandanas kicked in a South Toledo apartment door early yesterday and demanded money while waiving guns, police said.
The robbery occurred at 5966 Walnut Circle Dr. at 3:05 a.m. Two robbers stayed on the first floor with a 24-year-old man and a 16-year-old woman who had been watching television. The third went upstairs and awoke a 20-year-old man and two others, ages 23 and 18. At least one of the robbers threatened to shoot someone after being told there was no money in the apartment. All three ended up leaving without hurting anyone.
The thieves left in an unknown direction with a cell phone worth about $100, according to a police report. The report did not indicate if they were on foot or in a vehicle.
Police said they were looking for the men yesterday.
