Malinta man stabbed; alleged assailant held

BOWLING GREEN A Henry County man was stabbed in the abdomen with a knife during a fight yesterday, and a man was charged in the assault.

Ian Michael Labie, 21, of Malinta, Ohio, was in good condition in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

Michael Shannon, 22, who has addresses in Bowling Green and Cincinnati, was charged with one count of felonious assault. He was being held in the Wood County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

The assault occurred about 2:30 a.m. at Manville Avenue and Second Street during a quarrel. Mr. Shannon fled, and was arrested later. He was treated at Henry County Hospital, Napoleon, before being booked.
